STAT Health Systems

Building the next generation of clinical and practice management software

Stat Health Systems was formed in 2006 by two groups of industry specialists when they agreed on a collaborative approach to development of software required by the medical industry.

The Australian medical industry has seen a decisive shift towards e-business, encouraged by government incentives and Doctors’ desire to see their practices run more efficiently and cost-effectively.

It is the goal of Stat Health Systems to build a progressive and resilient system that introduces a new level of stability and flexibility to the medical software market. It will be the first in the next generation of integrated practice and clinical management systems that uses the latest technology and methodologies to improve the efficiency of specialist medical and general practices in Australia.

Stat Online Claiming Solution (SOCS)

Stat Health Systems have designed and built a new module of the Stat application for those Stat Service clients currently utilising MedClaims via legacy Practice Management Systems.  SOCS will enable these practices to transmit Medicare and DVA Claims online.  More info....

Stat Practice Manager

The overriding goal for the development team in the Practice Management module was to provide an uncluttered, fresh approach to traditional reception functions. The software uses a combination of new Microsoft development tools with original workflow theory to produce an innovative software application with a streamlined, intuitive interface.

The installation of the first site utilising this component of the software will occur in the second half of 2008.  More info....

Stat Integrated

The fully integrated clinical and practice management product will be released in the second half of the year.  More info....

Stat Health Spotlight
The next generation of clinical and practice management software

Stat Health Systems was formed in 2006 and it represents the single result of two independent strategies by two diverse groups.

Dr Ian Williams began his quest when mentioned to his most senior colleagues that what he “really wanted” was a piece of practice clinical software “that just works – one that is simple and functionally rich. Maybe we should write one….”.

At around about the same time, Ian Threlfall and Cameron Jaffrey were looking at what they believed was a void within the current software offerings for General Practitioners and Specialists – an application using a new technology platform packaged with a simple but ‘hands-on” support model.

By chance, these two groups meet and within hours Stat Health Systems was born.

It was obvious from that first meeting that this group had a great strength – a team of experts in their own field – together they possessed a wide range of complimentary skills. Experience meant that they knew that a medical software business is fundamentally based around a strong team of people and this group possessed that ‘in spades’.

Stat Health System Pty Ltd was formed and the six directors are:

Dr Ian Williams

Mr Ian Threlfall

Mrs Jan Chaffey

Mr Cameron Jaffrey

Ms Carla Doolan

Ms Rhonda Rose

Collectively, this group of people has the knowledge of the healthcare industry which will enable them to produce and market an innovative application. An application that will have a high level of data integrity and functionality as well as being intuitive, easy to navigate and adhere to the ethical principles which govern this industry.

Dr Williams is the principle of a Camp Hill Medical Centre, a large general practice in suburban Brisbane which employs 15 doctors and 5 registered nurses as well as a large complement of administrative staff.   Ian is joined by his practice’s executive staff, Jan Chaffey and Rhonda Rose.

Ian Threlfall, Cameron Jaffrey and Carla Doolan all worked for Medical Spectrum, a medical software house which was acquired by IBA Health in 2003.  Ian was one of two directors of Medical Spectrum.

Brian Carter, the other director of Medical Spectrum subsequently joined the Stat Health development team in a contract role to enhance the development design and increase speed of delivery.

The goal of Stat Health Systems is to provide a technologically advanced, user friendly application for the healthcare sector which will include general practice, specialists and allied health professionals.
